It's time for change in the Branch.
My mission is formed around being committed to keeping Flowery Branch a great community to live in through smart growth, while supporting small business. After many years living in Flowery Branch one thing is for certain, change is a daily discussion and the evidence of it is everywhere. I understand growth is occurring and while many say it's inevitable, I want to take action to make a difference in the way and the rate it is happening.
I am William McDaniel and I want to thank you for your interest in my campaign. I have been an active member in the North Georgia community since 2006. I am excited to be turning that community focus towards running for Post 3 in the Flowery Branch City Council Elections this November.
I believe my life experiences have prepared me for this opportunity and I would be honored to once again to represent and work hard for my community.
I proudly served our country with a total of 7 years of honorable service in the U.S. Army. Many of those years in leadership, management, training, and logistics. I was also selected as a member of the United Nations Command Honor Guard and served in Iraq as a team leader with the 10th Mountain Infantry 4-31 INF.
Following the military, I was a police officer for 8 years with Gwinnett County Police Department, Braselton Police Department, and Brookhaven Police Department. At those departments I was a patrol officer, SWAT, Special Investigation detective, Vice unit, and detective in intelligence unit.
The knowledge I obtained from my service-based jobs has provided me with valuable skills that I use daily managing my business dealings, balancing personal and professional responsibilities, and working everyday to be faithful and proud.
I am a husband to my wife, Tracy. I am a father to 3 children that attend local Flowery Branch Schools, (Madelynn-16, Landon-13, and Mia-7), and we live in Flowery Branch with our 3 dogs.
With a passion for service in the Flowery Branch area, I am ready to work hard for this community. I plan to quickly get up to speed on the inner workings and learn the deficiencies and then see where I can make the biggest impact while continuing to enjoy this great community we live in. I carry the values of hard work, integrity, and a great attitude into everything I do - this role will be no different.
Let's find a way to keep the small town feel.
Small business is the heart of a community.
It is important that our community is protected by those willing and ready to serve.
As an Army Veteran I understand what it means to believe in a mission and follow through. I also understand what it means to help others for the greater good and working towards a common goal.
When I decided to protect and serve I was and always will be proud to say I wore that uniform. I loved my service to the communities I worked within and the departments I represented.
